How do you wake up in the morning? Not your morning routine (I get up take a shower, shave, eat, etc etc) I don't want that. I want to know when it is time wake up/get up, how do you do it. Me, I like to set my alarm about an hour early and then snooze 4 or 5 times. I get physically out of bed, hit the snooze button on my alarm, climb back into bed and go back to sleep. I find I have excellent dreams during this time. When it is time to actually get up I find it is easier to get up before the final snooze goes off. It just feels better to get up when the alarm isn't blaring. I have a really hard time just waking up and getting a move on, i like to stay in bed for as long as possible.
Alarm is set 20 minutes early for snoozing. Then I toss off ...... the blanket and climb off the mattress.
My TV comes on at 6 20 (my clock is broken so this is my only means of an "alarm" at the moment) It slowly wakes me up so I can get out of bed at about 6 45, shower etc. etc. I have the same thing with real good dreams. Whatever is on the news affects my dreams at that time in the morning. I feel as if I am having premenitions of what has happened!
I'm exactly the same, some weird as dreams and a smug feeling when you beat the final alarm. For some reason if I've been drinking I'll be up at 6 the next day, feels really good but if I'd been sober it'd kill me to do that
usually first alarm goes of around 7, which is usually on radio1, then about 5 minutes later second alarm goes off which is a buzzer to get me out of my comfortable state of sleepiness!
I usually wake before my alarm, I like the feeling of waking up naturally and knowing I've got a few minutes to lie in bed before getting up.
daylight wakes me up, which in the summer is bloody awesome. i love waking up and thinking "sweet, 3 hours to go til i have to be up". then i just snooze.
I leave the blinds open so light naturally wakes me up somewhat and I have the alarm set for 0650. That gives me ten minutes of snooze if I feel like sleeping and rushing that morning.
I set my alarm for 6.30 and then snooze till 7.30, but at the moment the sunis kinda helping me wake. I get up and get dressed and washed straight away, then I turn on Everybody loves Raymond and grab a bowl of museli, then I have to clean the bowl and rush out. I have to do all this in abut 15 minutes! Oh and I sleep with the tv on.
6:45 - Alarm 6:53 - 2nd Alarm 6:53 ~ 7:00 - fall into shower Then PC on, check e-mail etc, then brecky @ 7:25, back to my room, Times and Tea, then lessons @ 8:40.
u guys get a lie in, my alarm is at 4:50, and i know ill fall asleep straight away, so i just put the light on.
I am like a machine. Alarm wakes me at 8:00 8:00-8:10 situps/pressups etc. whatever i fancy 8:10-8:27 sh*t, shower, shave 8:27-8:35 emails, internet, news 8:35-8:45 eat breakfast 8:45-8:50 dressed 8:50 leave for work This is everyday except sunday, when i just wake when i wake.
I usually wake up 5 mins before my alarm goes off, start the computer and find some caffiene. Unless of course I'm working nights, in which case I go straight to bed when I get home at 0800 and sleep until 1500. Either that, or I get paged for work in which case I rocket across the bed reaching for the phone before I'm even a little awake, squishing my GF and traumatizing the cat.
