So they talk to Hollywood? Does this mean they talk to the MPAA? :eyebrow:
In my eyes BT is a nice tool to get your files kinda fast, but saying it's intended use is to download legal software like demos or trailers was like saying www.UseNext.de was just founded to provide even faster access to legal content.

Ooooh, Face! Now that's a good way to stick it to all those people that are pro-Millenium Act.

But seriously, good for them, just with I had thought of that first. Now the only thing they need to do is to is make BitTorrent work well for very large user bases. Ever notice how when there's over 3-4k people downloading you don't go as fast as when there's 200-500?

That's actually great news. I'll be sad to see my favorite file-share go legal, but frankly they invented some great code and deserve to be paid for it.

But if you are downloading content from peers, how are they going to manage if you have the rights to obtain a file from your peer - I can see this being a crackable system.

"The piracy business is not something anyone can make money on", um werent the Suprnova guys making 80k+ a month in ad revenue?

I can't see this being the end to illegal sharing on BT, and not the end of donate ads on BT sites. Its Cohen thats getting the money, not xyz BT community owner who still needs help paying for bandwidth.

But honestly, i'll stick to newsgroups either way.
