Awesome. I've been following this mod almost since the beginning. They've done a superb job.

 

omg i thought this'd been cancelled.. i hope it's on steam, i'd pay good money for this, more than a lot of "proper" games tbh

I was lucky enough two years ago to meet the head project lead at a lan party, who a friend introduced me to. I was surprised at how nice it looked back then and am blown away at the leaps and bounds they have made since then. I look forward to this coming out and have no doubt it will be as good, if not better, then the original.

the trailer looks epic, with a master piece of original game, i bet this will be a top HL2 mod download for at least 6 months.

Unfortunately, I'm required to keep up my image as dour and inconsolably sarcastic, so my reaction to this is limited to this small trickle of saliva that's running down my chin.

Equally unfortunately, this is another work of art that is chained unavoidably to the unsinkable ship that is the Titanic. Sorry, Steam.

Unfriggin' believable. I've been checking up on their work from time to time and I was all but certain that Black Mesa was going to end up like poor Duke Nukem. That trailer is nothing but amazing, I can't believe how good it looks. I'm looking forward to this particularly; I've never played the original Half Life. I bought into the series when HL2 came out, but I couldn't get over how crappy HL1 looked so I didn't bother.

The only thing that could possibly shoot this down in flames would be Valve themselves, but I think it's been around long enough that they're either going to throw their support behind the team 100%, or (more likely) hire the lot of them on the spot. I really, really hope they don't decide to assert their ownership; they've already made more money than God on the game, and HL1 is included with just about every purchase you can make on Steam. Actually, considering you have to own HL2 in the first place, you'll probably own the game anyways

 

have you tried steam recently? it's pretty decent.

 

Glad to see that they are still working on the mod, and want to finish it. Plus that they are bit-tech news worthy is great : )
