Hi, Here are some questions that I hope I can get an answer from you guys. Thanks... I want to paint my HDD caddies matt black, so... 1. Where to get good cheap spray can (UK)? 2. Do I need primer for matt paint? Or just glossy one? 3. How easy (or hard) does the paint come off? And other misc questions that I can't figure out... 1. How easy (or hard) is it to cut aluminimum comparing to steel? 2. What about acrylic? 3. Is it okay to take the PSU case off and leave it as it is? EDIT: i.e. use it without a case 4. Important question... is there anywhere I can buy those I/O shield (that sheet of metal that protects the PS/2, serial, parallel, USB, etc), PCI shield and drives mount? I've seen them in some distributors websites but not retail EDIT: look over the back of your case, see that metal cover that protects your I/O (PS/2, serial, parallel, USB)? Thats it. Please answer or I might die! Thank you very much in advance!! Cheers.
Halford's Primer would help. Depend's how hard you wanna scratch it, The best thing for plastics is Vinyl Dye spray from halford's or as they call it "Vinyl Paint". Easy. Messy but easy. No, you'll disturb the airflow cuts some small hole's in the top if you need to take air away from somewhere else.. Not sure what this means maybe someone eles can answer.
Hi, You mean Halford's the car parts retail? http://www.halfords.com ? Their website doesn't show any spray cans... Thanks.
Yup you'll have to visit there store, but if your painting plastic try and get Vinyl Dye or "Vinyl Paint/Spray" as they call it, It's 9.99 a can but last's a while.
Found the I/O shield on OCS ATX I/O panel (800527) Sadly there is no Halfords nearby... guess I'll have get those graffiti spray cans from the art shops... colour wise they are good, but they are easily scratched off...
i sprayed my mouse in matt black car paint from halfords without primer and i've used it everyday for over a year and the paint hasn't even scuffed
