    Howdy

Been asked to look at an Acer Aspire One cloudbook 14 as it seems to turn on but is just a black screen.

    Could the BIOS be dead?
    Can it be fixed?

    Cheers

Do you see anything with an external screen?

Have you tried opening it and unplugging and re-plugging the CMOS battery? Do the fans spin up and the lights turn on when you push the power button?

As yuusou said are there any lights at all, HDD light, charging light, wifi, power? I'm assuming there's something as you said it seems to turn on?

Have you tried the external screen keyboard shortcut with a screen attached, and is there any sounds etc?
