Hi guys Got a question for you. You all know that (nearly) all radiators have the fittings mounted vertically. But that isn't that good for my new project. Now I wanted to know what I should take care of when soldering two new holes for the fittings in the radiator front chamber. The holes should be aligned horizontal. The chamber of the BI-radiator is made of brass. Should I solder up first two little sockets before I start threading the holes to give them a little bit more "flesh" to get in?
Those sockets could be a nice idea. Although the fittings don't have that much force applied to them, it doesn't hurt to take precautions. This is how I did it: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=1920302&postcount=58 Please post pics when you're done. I want to see how you tackled the problem.
Yes, definitely. I was thinking about putting temp sensors in the original holes. @ 500mph and InSanCen Thank you
