Blade Mini MK II I decided to scrap the first build, I really wanted to be able to add a GPU to this case and change the cooling over to an AIO system. (For the sake of NOT starting a whole new thread just for this as it really was just a quicky case mod i'll edit this original thread to reflect the new build.) This time i went with the more Conventional SSF layout. Having the PSU/MB on the same side and the GPU/Hardware on the other, with room for a possible RES. The dimensions are the same with a little extra girth to allow me to add a 140mm front fan this time round. A much more basic and conventional layout for the MKII
The crazy thing is i prolly got close to another 100kg of acrylic a week or so back.... i really don't need to be using any off cuts. But at least i'm modding
I think you could do away with the case fans at this size, but I know it's more about the rgb. 100kg of plexi: Next build should be fused layers that form an organic shaped mega-brick.
As small as it is, you could 'fin' out the entire side panel. Those magnets are a little too close to the board for me. At least you isolated the magnetic field with brass.
Cheers Cheaps , i'll still use magnets to hold the sides but prolly wont bother with a internal cover now with this new layout. A few minor tweaks to the design, taking a leaf from Blades original build i'll add a slider mount for the front fan/rad. This will stop the blades from covering the screws and clean the front up. Next tweak or 2 was for the GPU. Adding a slider lock mech for the Card. Another will be added for the front. A small slot was pre cut to allow the riser cable to pass thru. Not set in stone but to help exhaust air the PSU can be flipped... i may go with full mesh sides.
Tbh i have nfi about the aio on the gpu atm but lol ima have a good think about it 1 A quicky update, Ive re-trimmed the outer blades to suit the new design The modified blades are hard glued to the housing The last outer 2 blades are also hard glued the outer edges. Gluing them to the outer edges for a flush fit gives a cleaner look Adding the larger 140 mm fan has a better over all look and fill up the front of the case. MTC soon
