I would like to do something very naughty to my powerbook. I would like to "remove" the glowy apple logo. I jsut think It would be neat to have a "ghost" powerbook. To do this I think I'll need some kind of paint that will match the aluminum body color of the powerbook, or failing that I'd just paint the whole 'book something snazzy. Black? A black powerbook sounds ultra nice. Anyone done anything so horrible to their expensive toy?
A black Powerbook eh? You mean like THIS? That's a powerbook from a few years ago, called a Pismo. Not a big fan of the look of that, but THIS is just beauiful! In fact, check out all the different colours available HERE. Cost? A mere $450 on top of the price of a Poewrbook. They are just so beautiful though, and they will do you iBook/mini/iPod too
IMO, colorware powerbooks are petarded. the silver keyboard just looks wrong. a pink iBook however....
I think it would look nice in black, with a deep mirror finish. or just stick one of those round dell logos over the apple one.
The price is insane! I'd just rattle-can it the linear1 way, I think it would still look quite good. Might wear down unpleasantly fast though. Anyone know where a human can obtain a "spare" powerbook chassis?
A powerbook is a quality piece of kit. If you paint it, you have to make it a quality paint job otherwise it'll just look like a ruined Powerbook.
ibooks look better than powerbooks anyway i think, even so i still wouldn't go and ruin a powerbook by doing it urself, unless you could do it really well.
just for the record those links TOMM gave made me wet myself.... Im sorry, but HOT DAMN that was sexy looking.
