The other thing is, if it had been knocked or chucked about, surely the first thing to have been affected would be the screen itself? With the screen facing the bottom of the parcel, it would have been just right for someone to line up a good kick and smash it to smithereens, or if the bottom of the box had hit a corner of something very, very hard, that would have had the same effect, i.e. 1680x1050 tiny pieces. Even with good padding, anything thrown hard enough or kicked would break. On Brainiac, they had to wrap a china plate in a mile or so of bubblewrap so it didn't break when run over by a tank.

Thanks for naming the company Kenco, I will steer clear for a bit I think!
I will also vouch for you, like i'm sure many people on here will too, i've dealt with you in the past - and i've never had a single problem!
Its a shame that things like this seem to happen, esp when you've paid good money for a service, and it just gets abused.

Hope this gets resolved mate! :)

I hate it when this sort of thing happens to people. You guys have my best wishes in getting a acceptable solution.

Aye, the parcel's the same as when it left here, tbh. No marks or anything. Bloody weird. The only part I can notice is the bottom, but I'm not sure if it's just the permanent marker that's been slightly wiped off in transit or if it's another layer of tape on top.

I sent a 19" TFT via Parcel2Go on the AVForums few days ago, screen is cracked.. Plus Parcel2Go use DHL/City Link, my sisters on/off fella works for them (DHL) and loading the van is a process called "throwing". I'd expect a bit better from someone getting paid £9.25 an hour..

We had a courier deliver a box of toner cartridges - by coincedance we ended up following the van for a bit along the single track road to our house. He was thrashing the van over the speed bumps (these are REAL speed bumps!) and hit the brakes hard when he almost overshot us.
It was also flooded at the time (he was a bit gutsy going through some of those deep bits!) so he asked me to go in and find our box as he couldn't get out of the cab with just shoes on.
There were boxes just sitting randomly all over the van, with some fallen down the step bit on the side, "this side up" not up, radnomly stacked, etc. There were about 30 boxes in a large van with nothing holding them down (eg cargo net, runners + elastic hooks). I was shocked to say the least!

Dammit, wish I'd taken more pics of my old monitor when I had it!

Only other one I can find that would be of use is this one:

This was taken pretty much when I first got my wideangle lens, hence the near fishbowl effect.

Don't mind the date on the calender thing, it's still on Jan 19th as of today :)

Haven't heard anything back yet btw :(

Damn, that's pretty unfortunate. I hope that all gets sorted out. Never used Parcel2Go/DHL myself, will be sure to avoid them.

It doesn't make much difference which carrier you use afaik. All of them employ thousands of people, and part of that population consists of throwers indeed. They are also the ones that get sacked the fastest, so they can go work for the other carrier the next day.

I don't recall any carrier actively rooting out this behaviour though. :(

Should be worth some undercover footage from a few journalists maybe? would be great television, and nice to see those bstrds unmasked for what they are.
