Looks like your graphics card drivers are being ghey (I think). I suggest you download the latest ones and reinstall them. I had the same problem as you and that sorted it out. If you don't know, the best way to do it is to use driver cleaner pro to make sure the drivers are properly gone before installing the new ones. Uninstal the drivers from add/remove programs Open driver cleaner pro, select nVidia and then click start reboot install new drivers reboot I think thats the way to do it. If that doesn't solve the problem then your card might be overheating/borked.
Shouldn't this be in tech support? Anyway. As previously stated, nv4_disp.dll as far as I know, is the graphics driver. This doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with the driver though. It could be faulty hardware. Download ntune from nvidia's website and check your graphics card temperatures. Although an overheating card would produce all sorts of junk on the screen before it dies. There are a number of things that could be causing this though, and its really hard to pinpoint it without testing each part of the computer. It could be the power supply crapping out. It could be the motherboard going faulty and sending junk data to the GPU. It could even be your hard drive. Defrag your hard drive, then run a chkdsk (in the run box type "chkdsk c: /r", it will ask if you want to check the disk next time the pc reboots, select yes) then reboot the machine. If that doesn't help, then uninstall the motherboard drivers and graphics drivers, reboot, then install new ones starting with the motherboard drivers. Your motherboard should have come with some sort of utility to check temperatures and voltages (On ASUS boards its called PC Probe II, you can download it from their site, or install it from the CD that came with your motherboard). Run it, and post a screenshot so we can see if there is anything up with your voltages. Also, run a game in windowed mode and post a screenshot of the motherboard utility and ntune showing GPU temperatures. Also, what is your PC specification?
no i'm sure its not my hard becouse it done the same thing before i installed new hard drives. my pc is E6600 Striker extreme 8800GTX xfx 4gb ocz 6400 cas 5 (cant run on cas4) 2x 74gb raptors + 500 gig seagate 700W seasonic M12 X-fi music xtreme i think i've fixed the graphic issue tho, doesnt show that error anymore - it shows this one now Stop:0x000000000007f(0x00000000000c,0x00000000000000080050031) 0x00000000000000000000,0xffffffff8000104feea i think its memory said it began memory dumping doesn any of you recognise this error?
Try googling for it. I did (and after removing too many 0's and about a minute of my time) I got to this page. It has links to the MS KB article on STOP:0x7f errors. Hope that helps. Andy
http://www.memtest.org/download/1.70/memtest86+-1.70.iso.zip Download that, burn it to a CD and let it run over night. It'll test your memory for defects.
you can test your ram with the vista cd as well. its quite a good ram tested. used it to prove my balistic tracers where faultly
youve certainly got a nice list of issues. Ctaud2k.sys is normally a creative sound driver. there are some drivers no the creative site. but they aren't that good at supporting "legacy" clients
