Can I suggest that you set a few guidelines for the drawings - with different things on different layers? Having dimensions, mounting holes and outlines on separate layers makes things much easier when it comes to using the DXF file for CAM purposes as you can set a whole layer to be ignored or machined in a particular way. If everything's on the default layer, it makes it much more difficult to manage.
you know what? i just wish i could build myself a 2axis table, something like 1.5m by 1.5m with my dremel to do some basic cutting on acrilic, wood and light alu cutting It would be perfect and a time save when it comes in terms of hand sanding and accuracy! Then i would make a little pc to put some dfx files to do some testing problem is i have no idea where to start If anyone know a link of a self made little cnc with dremel router, please let me know!!!!

Or here. Very good plans, I've built the 24x48 machine, just need to finish it off. The plans are very detailed, step-by-step instructions of how to build your machine using relatively easy to find parts (mostly from hardware stores). The only problem is that measurements are in imperial not metric, so there was quite a bit of conversion involved. Can't recommend them highly enough, though.
what does cheap mean to you? i like making things, and it would an amazing mod to make too, besides the learning process which will be just unforgetable!
I should have said cheap in comparison, the ones on ebay range from 500 to 1500 for a cnc, the 1500 dollar ones usually cost 30k plus commercially so I guess you could call that cheap yeah?

Well my cnc machine is in the port, wont be out till next week. On the layer thing, whats the standard with layer colours? kinda hoping to get some form of sharing going on in the next few weeks. If you want a part, just request one and hopefully someone can send the file to you.
AFAIK, there really isn't a 'standard' for colors. Most companies will likely have their own designations for each line type and expect their drafters to follow them. That's why when I do my drawings I give each layer a distinct name.

I dont know if this applies to some of you guys but for laser cutting in 2D I was always asked for a corel drawing from most of the shops around here.. And when it comes to measuring i would say corel draw is very accurate and easy to use. Also it comes as free (version 9) with some hardware like printers or scanners.
Laser+CNC+Asian girlfriend= me hating you now. Also, get a fireplace bellows or something. Long hair/ eyes shouldn't get that close to anything spinning 10,000 RPMs!
