bluescreens

    ok on my main pc ive been having problems wit it randomly freezing/ and booting up i get message that my ntldr is missing sometimes. but now it goes to the windows boot screen(w/ te little green bar) and the bar will go across 5 times and then theirs a quick bluescreen(less then a second) and the computer restarts, im thinking its windows, but teirs the possability of my mother board because ts been having issues, what do you guys thing (system specs in sig no overclocks or anthing)

    With regards to the problem... what power supply are you using? If it's a cheap generic model, then it'd be my prime suspect here. Another possibility is that your RAM is on its way out - to eliminate this, run HCI memtest on all your free memory until it hits 400-500% or so.

    ok well i think it has something to do with the partition windows is on because i go into the windows xp boot manager and it says its an unknown partition type

    Nuke the installation from orbit; even Microsoft says thats the solution to the majority of major problems :p

    i want to but i will lose alot fo stuff because i cant get into windows to back it up

    It seems the problem was the onboard SATA controller (nvidia) was b0rked. RMA time it seems :blah:

    thanks for posting that roto, after i fixed it i kinda forgot i had this here. but yeah its semi fixed, need a new mobo thoiugh
