    In my opinion, the major advantage of Bluetooth over WiFi is its dramatically lower power use. If they need a WiFi radio for this to work, then surely it will increase the power consumption and as you have to have both radios on it will probably use more power than WiFi by itself. Added to the fact that it is only 24Mb rather than 54 or 300 I can't really see much point to this.

    so wait my ASUS EeePC 1000HE that has BT 2.0 and EDR might be able to be updated to BT 3.0, SWEET. :)

    Honestly why don't they just concentrate on lower power 802.11<x> chips instead to replace BT?
    I never did quite understand it.
