Networks Bluetooth

    ok I have a MSI KT6 Delta motherboard with blue tooth connectivity capabilities and a Motorola V525 with bluetooth I have all the bluetooth drivers and software installed on my computer but dont know how to get a connection, its not as simple as it sounds. anyone know how to set up bluetooth connections?? any help would be greatfull. :D

    Can elaborate on the questin a little?

    Are you trying to pair the motherboards of pair a mobo with a phone/pda? If the latter, just search for devices on the phone/pda then pair them that way. When i installed the widcomm BT drivers on my puter, i got the BT control panel and icons to My Bluetooth Places in my computer. Then it was just a matter of pairing.

    yes im trying to pair my mobo and my mobile phone, but the question is, do i need an external antenna running from my mobo If Ihave a bluetooth bracket on the back? ive seen those bluetooth antenna but i thought it would work in the same way as a bluetooth dongle as they dont transmit with an atenna.

    Have you installed the widcomm stuff? You should have a Bluetooth icon in your system tray, blue and white if it's ready, blue and red if its not, blue and green if currently connected.

    My mobo has the onboard bluetooth but it won't function without the bracket, yours is most likely the same. I just went out and bought a dongle for like 15 squid.

    yeah i have all the bluetooth software installed like my bluetooth places, and I did get the bracket with the mobo and its all connected, so does the bracket act as a dongle itself?

    So are you saying youve got the card installed, but not the antenna? Id definitley needs the antenna. Also, it could be bad (Card killing bad) to run the adaptor withut the antenna. connect it and try again.

    OMG this could be so easy yet not lol.

    Ok:

    Set your Mobo bluetooth on Discovable
    go on your phone and select shearch for blueTooth devices or somthing like that.
    Then the phone should pick up the mob and ask if you want to "Pair" it :D

    I dont have a bluetooth antenna, thats what am asking do i need one or does it work like a usb bluetooth dongle with no antenna???? :worried:
