Damn, the plexi are too big for the window :waah:
Think I'll need to cut it again.

I ran out of paint, so the finsh are lousy. Think I'll sand it down and paint it again.

    Same problem, too little paint!

Then I'l have to sand the inside and outside, and then i "pop" the pices together :D

Please, feel free to comment. This is the 8th update, and I got no comments. :( Discussion tread

I like your idea. But I think you are going to have a hard time filling the holes at the bottom of the window. Why not cut the right off?

    Nice job buddy! :thumb:

One concern about it though. Is it still fairly strong and structurally sound with all that metal cut out? I guess the plexi helps, but that may not be enough. My way to test if a case is strong enough is by sitting on it. If it bends or I can feel it being strained by the weight I know its not a very sturdy case. These are usually the paper thin ones, like the one Im using for Project PCB, which was a mistake. Oh well, live and learn. Keep up the good work though, Chris.

I also drawed the HDD-"cases" in SketchUp:

    Without HDD's

With HDD's, BTW it's 1cm between the disk's. Might have to change it too 2cm.

Thanks, WTF? how could I have missed this comment? :S

Well the front are steady! I have to test it a little more, but It not so thin. But I have to "pop" the case togetter first then ^^ Thanks for the tip, but the plexi should replace the old metal.

Hey, looks like a nice project so far. Where did you get the red plexi glass?
And what do you say when you want a company to sponsor your mod? I tried to get a few companies to sponsor my 1970s-PC (link in sig.), but they all said no. Looks like every other Norwegian modder gets sponsors, though...
