It does a couple of full power cycles and taxi runs, 3 a day, you can pay to be a passenger to help fund it returning to air worthiness

Refreshed the page and I'm rather late to the party...

I think Mr L is referring to this video that he posted on another thread.

A Merlin engined plane flying over makes the hairs on my neck stand up. For many it is the sound of freedom.

ooooh! are you involved in the restoration? I missed the formation flights when the Canadian Lanc came over, but it'd be a treat to see two Lancs in the air again, and much easier if both are in the UK :)

@perplekks45 @Yaka I'm looking into getting into Judge Dredd. Any recommendations for 'introduction' comics/omnibuses/compilations? I'm aware of the basics of the lore, but not read any of the comics!

Just finished the latest book in this series, and about to go on to the latest book in its sister series.

Well written, intertwined and interlinked story, easy to read. Fun take on the zombie apocalypse!

Would recommend his other series too - again post apocalyptic, but not zombies!

Re-read His bloody Project by Graeme McRae Burnet and loved it even more than the first time round. Then I read The Disappearance of Adèle Bedeau by the same author and really enjoyed that one as well.

Right now I'm reading Ranulph Fiennes' Captain Scott, a biography of the polar explorer from the turn of the century.
Then it'll be more McRae Burnet, I think.

Finished several comics over the last few months.

Currently reading vol 1 of Judge Dredd. To think there are 36 volumes...that's a lot of judgement. We'll see where I am in a couple of years' time.

    Discworld! All of them!

I read a bunch of these a while ago and then stopped for some reason, so I'm going through them all from the start. These books are absolutely brilliant, and Guards! Guards! has me laughing my arse off every single time I read it .

I'm up to book 9, Eric.

Judge Dredd Case Files Vols 1 and 2

Well, I've covered the sagas of Call-Me-Kenneth, Judge Rico, the journey across The Cursed Earth to Mega-City Two, and the rise and fall of Judge Cal(igula). Really eye-opening for me, as I didn't realise the Dredd comics were that tongue-in-cheek, as well as the British humour running underneath.

    Roll on Vol 3.

Finished Captain Scott, what a read, what a man, what an achievement.

Now I'm struggling to decide on the next book. This is a tough act to follow.
