After a slow night in #blagged-hardware everyone found them selves playing bookworm so i thought id start a thread for highest scores. http://www.popcap.com/gamepopup.php?theGame=bookworm Basic game and my score ...
This really is too addictive, it's 4 o'clock in the morning here and i'm playing it Anyways: English isn't quite my first language though
it does get boring pretty quick, took me about 2 hours to get 300k but thats becus i was doing other things around it. so as not to get bored tbh ....
wicked, you've probably got a leg up on most native English speakers since you had to go through learning stuff like conjugation, verb tenses and parts of speech.
Still doesn't go as far as vocab does. I'm on 13000 so far. Takes me ages to find good words. Longest so far is 6 I think .
OMFG 1 f*****g million i thought it was 100k ish and thought *fewls* .. and kept scrolling but 1 million !!!!!!!! didnt u get suicidally bored ??
Actually my friend and I accomplished it a few weeks ago. We share an office so just left it running on the secondary monitor all the time spending a few hours hear and there whilst foruming or watching movies... Wasn't boring in the slightest. At one point there was 3 of us up at 3am shouting many different words at a monitor
Actually, the game kinda gets easier but also more dictated by luck as you get past around 300000. Then you get so many burning blocks that there's a quick turn-over of pieces (whereas when there's fewer burning ones you end up with a board full of difficult letters), but you're also relying on luck (and to some extent skill) to be able to stop the burning blocks from getting to the bottom.
