Now the same pc won't boot from the hdd (though it detects fine and everything) but it just skips straight to booting from lan. Now how the hell do i do that? I've tried it with just crossover cable, directly linked to one working pc with the windows cd in it, and connected the other end to the other pc (obviously). then i started the fudged-bios pc up, and it started doing something, counting 1,2,3,4,5 then going back to 1. while it was doing this the activity light on the NIC was flashing, so something was happening, but not anything in terms of being able to boot off the cd in the other pc. have i done something wrong?
