Why are there two shades of purple? I noticed this in BL1 as well.

 

Hehe. Instead of replaying the game with same character i choose to start a new game with different character, i was a bit bored of Maya at the end.

The other purple (I think it's the brighter one) means it's an E-tech weapon, so normally fires lasers , or works in some other interesting way, similar to the eridian weapons in BL1

Yeah they've just tweeted that there are some issues for some users redeeming codes. At least this is why they're testing it before they do bigger giveaways.

and got my ass handed to me repeatedly.

One of the easiest boss fights in my opinion. Just run around the only house there and shoot at him few, then hide in the cover, run around the house, shoot few from the other side, run back to the other side again, fire few. Repeat until dead.

 

Just gotten through the 1st play through, and I got enraged. Nothing but bad drops I'm really on the fence if I want to go through all that again. I left a chunk of side missions towards the end (I did this during the 1st game after learning that you could play it all again, I wanted to leave some things 'new') and ended up at level 30 on the last story mission, had level 32 Badasses to go up against and it was like I was shooting spud guns, I levelled up mid way and it felt I was still up against a tier above me.

The Constructor prior to entering the area before Jack was really harsh on me, my best Launcher (20k damage) glanced off it, and I was left with only a 2k shock sniper and any attempt to get close with short range weaponry was futile, all the while trying to avoid turret fire and its rockets

I think I prefered the 1st BL, and only stuck through the 2nd for the rather cool continuity - and humour.

 

Went home and turned it on, killed him on my first try haha. Found a rocket launcher that does 13k damage and killed him in about 5 hits.

I've found that as soon as I hit level 30 the stuff that I'm finding is exponentially better than the stuff I've found throughout the rest of the game. Almost like there's some kind of gate.

I found the

Bone Shredder 3.0 in the Arid Badlands

and a Pistol that shoots out little darts that seem to track targets and also ricochets off surfaces. It sticks into enemies then blows up and does fire DoT. It's my first Very Rare item. I also have a legendary Pandemic grenade that does TONS of corrosive damage and spreads it to every enemy that comes near. Another one is my Adaptive shield that has a capacity of 2300, gives me +400 health and gives me 20-someodd% damage resistance to the last damage type I was hit with.

All of this stuff found in short order right after hitting level 30.

 

I think I'd have to agree Neo that once you hit 30 the loot is so much better.

Up to Lvl 37 now and looking at my playing time is just over 2 days, that kinda scares as that means I've probably got another 12-18 hours to get to level 50.

 

Handsome Jack is awesome. Nuff said.

 

For me the top was the mission "Kill yourself" . And the comments of the Hyperion resurection machine after it resurects you for money.

 

Shooty McFace was possibly the most laughable mission I've seen. I loved it. I was laughing before I even accepted the mission.

 

Hell of a decent reward for the mission all things considered!
Had a right giggle with it when I came across it running after the slab leader.

 

Wildlife preservation... That mission made me sad. Still awesome though. Also anything said by hyperion or claptrap is hilarious.
