Windows Borderlands for PC question

    I'm looking to get Borderlands of steam either today or tomorrow (pre-download it)

    I'm currently on the windows 7 RC.

    If it upgrade to the real versionof windows 7, will there be a way to save my characters and data etc. Or should I upgrade to Windows 7 today (I can if needed) in order to keep all data.

    I don't think there's an account based system?

    It saves data locally, so you could just stick that on a usb stick.

    in vista it's in Documents\my games\borderlands\SaveData

    I would imagine its under something pretty similar in 7 RC
