I want to build an MP3 Player into something cool so I need mod ideas - any original household item that I can mod a Pentium 133 mobo, 24 megs of ram, and an AT power supply into (The power supply can come out of it's box )
go to a room with lots of stuff, close your eyes, spin around while pointing (careful, don't break anything ) Stop suddenly and mod whatever you're pointing to. Repeat if necessary
i have an old dot matrix printer that would be grteat to put a pc in. the only problem is that it is such a great printer it wont stop working! going on for ten years now and its only on its second or tird ribbon
Put it inside a vacuum cleaner. I put a blue cold cathod in mine for cool lighting efects. All it needs now is the computer in it.
...that's it - i'ma have to rice my vacuum cleaner... ...neon underneath, alloy rims, bright yellow with 'dragon' stickers, debadged and make the hose about 6" wide... *n
i had an idea to mod a computer into a mini hifi (while all the other hifi parts still work) but im too poor/retarded to do that
build it into a couch... with the controls built into the arm of it... and naturally you might wanna consider getting better components so you could also use it for movies... ok maybe that's a bit too much...
build it into the toilet so u can surf the net while u go! but personally i think it would be cool to put the pc in a car, get a small 10" lcd for the dash etc!!
building it into speakers would be cool, but arnt speakers magnetic? Would think that would cause some problems with the drives...
Two fantastical words.... Wireless.... and Laptop..... do not worry bit-tech.. you shall be the first to know about my first bit-tech forum post while I'm "Sinking Warships"
It all depends on the speakers but a lot of speakers that are made to go near a PC or TV are already 'shielded' what they do is put another magnet around the one that drives the speaker to cancel the existing magnet out (opposite polarity).
Any CD-ROMs I have tried to eject vertically do not like it. I wanted to have a CD-ROM cut into a desk ejecting upwards but it made a horrible clunking noise when you press eject.
