So, here i sit, at home for easter ( spring ) break! Ive been back from uni for 2 days and im bored out of my little mind.

Ive tryed playing games, even fired up some of my oldies, i just have no urge to play anything anymore. Ive tryed working, that lasted a good 10mins. Ive watched countless DvDs i found lying around the house, cooked, cleaned and even shaved. Ive been to the pub, watched some tv, sat and thought about life for 32mins ( that really didnt help :/ ) and went for a jog, Yet still i crave something to do, i just cant quite put my finger on what it is.

So what do all you folks get up to when ure completely bored and nothing seems to be picking you up? Maybe ill get some ideas :) lol..

Yea, know the feeling mate. Got back from uni on friday, and all i've done is lounge around the house lol. I guess its cus at uni theres always people around, special drinks offers to abuse and signs to steal :D where at home there isn't lol.

I'll end up doing this till the last week, realise there was loads of stuff i was meant to do this easter and have then will have to cram lots of work into a few days!

edit : as for things to do... all i do is watch scrubs and films all day :D

I know what you mean. Usually I just watch a DVD I've seen too many times, and wait for my brain to leak out my ears...:worried:

Still, it's almost frusterating when it seems like nothing is appeasing to do...:sigh:

Would reading a good book help? Kurt Vonnegut is pretty good.

This is a non-stop occurance for me. The only time I've been able to avoid it is when I'm with a good friend, or somebody I'm close to. Somtimes rebuilding a computer fixes it for me :D

hmm, getting laid is usually a good option. sadly it's not always that straightfoward, and the home alone option is a poor substitute...

i think the option i take when i'm really scraping the barrel for something to do (other than work of course) involves #bit-tech :sigh:

We have a saying in my native tounge, "Only boring people get bored." Go to starbucks, get a coffee and a newspaper and watch people.

My only advice is to go somewhere... anywhere... it really doesnt matter as long as you havent been there before. If you dont have any money it really doesnt matter. For example, after I graduated from high school I went on a "trip" to NYC where I slept in a hostel and ate beans out of a can for a week. Yes, I lived like a hobo but I barely spent any money (my largest expense was fuel) and the trip was a blast.

damnit i do that. its fun watching people from the first floor of starbucks every one seems to be in such a rush to do things its unbelivable.

you see different types of people you have the old grannies who are out for a stroll then you get the school kids causeing trouble. then you get the office workers on a break for lunch powerwalking down the highstreet then you get CHAVs trying to get it on with the school kids.

I love to people watch when I have time to waste! I usually sit on a non descript bench in a park or town and disappear into the background and just watch life going by.

Alternatively; find an ugly PC and mod it till it looks nice. That's always good to waste some time (I'm about to start on a Sun Ultra 5 :dremel: )

    It's a hard life a?

What I wouldn't give to have absoultely nothing to do for a few weeks again!

You could always clear out your parents loft and put the resulting horde of junk on ebay?

You think you've got it bad?

My parents decided to move house just before I went to Uni so I know the total of zero people here as I'm never around. I also have 5 weeks off :waah:

i'm in totally the same situation, my parents moved to devon just before i went to uni, 4 hours from where i used to live, and where my girlfriend lives :sigh:
and i go to uni in swansea, so not even like i have uni freinds local.

so far i've been writing/recording songs, modding, working out, and playing CS:Source. But strangly today i feel like you do; total writers block, so cant write songs, PC needs parts and i dont feel motivated anyway. and CS, meh.

gonna fix my bike and go for a ride later, if i can summon the energy.....

at lest my g/f comes down on friday

my advise is do somthing that requires being outside and using energy, i went for a walk yesterday, that was relly cool.

Just what I was thinking! I'd make the most of it. Just lie in bed thinking how when you've left full-time education you'll be lucky to get any time off when you want it & that should give you a few hours of smugdom.

The last time I had more than a week off that wasn't through any kind of illness was probably about 7 or 8 years ago. :sigh:

I do hockey, football, cross country and swimming for my college at Uni then play a bit of basketball on the side so trying to match that is a little difficult! :D
