Graphics Both MSI, AMD 290 or GTX 970?

    So, I'm buying a GPU on Monday, my first graphics card in 10 years, my mind was set on MSI 290 gaming and luck be it's on offer on overclockers at a sexy £251, but nvidia have been dicks and released a damn fine looking GTX 970, the MSI gaming version of which goes for 30 quid extra on the 290, so I'm stumped, AMD has 3 free games, some gooduns coming out, but some say the 970 is 5-10% better.

    Any ideas folks?

    970 Everytime even though I've got an Amd card! Gtx 970 offers faster frame rates in most games, runs cool and sips energy. Also Ebuyer have some listed for £259.99.

    Plus the 970 has more advanced rendering features.

    It's objectively better haha. I say this as a 290 owner.

    Better performance, uses 100w less power at full load, runs cooler, better drivers, better technology, more advanced features such as MFAA and DSR and gsync support. Can't go wrong.

    Cheers folks, guess its unanimous xD,

    Hopefully the stock will hold out till tomorrow afternoon, been a full week since the CC company said they sent a replacement, if it doesn't arrive tomorrow, imma be super pissed!
