"Boxii"

Hey.

Noticed a new advertising system on the main site of Bit. Pops up in the bottom right.
It's content consistently appears to not relate to what bit does with adverts of "re-mortgage your house" and "buy laser eye surgery" etc.

My suggestion would be to make the content relevant or remove it altogether.

 

Got a screenie of it? The ads on this site are supposed to be specifically focussed to the readers, but one does occasionally slip through the net.

 

It is being addressed, that's all I can say for now.

 

Yes, it's a complete crock of ****. There was zero internal discussion, and I want it taken down.

 

Just saw it as well, the ad looks like a live messenger box with a "Bit-Tech says:" thought it might have been malware for minute.

 

Oh I quite enjoyed that, apparently I need Ultralase, Equity and to remortgage my house.

They could have least spelt bit-tech correctly.

A friend of mine won laser eye surgery, funny thing is he's got 20/20 vision (doesn't wear glasses or anything), don't know why he entered the competition tbh .
