Brandt resigned, the BBCs loss to be honest. The girl is a "Satanic ****", she works in a place called "Satanic Sluts" as one of the "Sluts". To describe her in that context in a differant way would be wrong. The thing is, the BBC is dwindling in talent these days, they lose them to ITV who can pay more. I would be the first to defend the BBC as an institution, I think its a great thing - but they really need to go back to their "this is how we do it" measures, not long ago they would have just said sorry and stick by their people as everybody else fought it out. Sure, they took it a bit too far - but when all parties involved have said sorry, the victim has accepted this and asked to move on - why the **** are they still discussing this.
Yeah, that was a typo on my part. As for the other prank calls? I thought they were just as unfunny, but not many (if any) of them have been as crass as this one was. At least, as far as I know. Admittedly I wasn't aware of her occupation when I started posting here, but noticed soon enough - It doesn't make a difference. It's like saying it's okay to make fun of checkout people because they don't have what would be considered a 'good' job. I know Sachs was supposed to be on the show, and pulled out for some reason or other, but that's still no reason to be a ***** about it - Which is what these two were doing, I don't care whether it was meant to be funny or not. Does that mean I can say, to a random person, "You're a complete ****, and you have a **** job, HA!" and then say, after they're done hitting me, "It was only a joke wtf you so pissed about"? Nope. Not last time I checked, anyway. What happened to common decency when it comes to humour? As for the 'Oh, but he is/was a comedian, he should expect it' argument? Bull****. He's from an age of comedy where things were genuinely funny, and didn't need someone to be 'shocking' to appeal to peoples funny bones. Don't get me wrong, I love ****ed up humour (I'm one of the few people I know that laughs at dead baby jokes) but this was not acceptable, even by my screwed up standards.

I love Brand to be honest, thought the show was hilarious, perhaps that makes me small minded and evil I dunno, Gutted he's quit though, the whole thing was completely blown out of proportion, but his career has survived much worse than this.
If the BBC cries to get Brand back in the next few months with a nice big pay rise, it wouldn't surprise me, not one bit. Oh btw, 1 complaint when the show was on the Radio, now it's like 40,000? what does that say then?
