    ‘AMERICAN INVESTOR’ BUYS ARROWS

"A statement just released from Arrows Grand Prix has announced that they have been bought by an American investor.

The team will now travel to Belgium."

What's the betting it's Mateschitz, and as speculated the team will be renamed after a popular caffinated drink that "Gives you wings"....

It seems like it at the moment - Lack of work due to the re-org. However, enjoy it while you can as the projects I'm on are due to ramp up in the next few days...:sigh:

    Oooh it isn't Mateschitz:

    ARROWS BUYER UNMASKED

"American billionaire Cal Smith is the man behind the buy-out of the team. Smith, who is in his 80s, made his money from mining."

    and in other news:

    SALO QUITS F1

This after he and McNish where droped from the Toyota Team, as of 2003.

Anyone heard anything about Wurz getting a drive next year? There were hints of it earlier on this year, but with all the comings and goings recently I've not heard any more. Looks like Toyota don't want him either after settling on Da Matta.

Hmmm - I believe he staying put at Mclaren as a test driver:

    NO CHANGE AT MCLAREN

"The news means that Coulthard will start his eighth year with the team while Raikkonen embarks on his second season at McLaren. Alex Wurz is to remain as third driver."

Oh that's a shame, I was looking forward to him coming back. Cut about a foot off from his legs & Wurz would be one of the top drivers I reckon.

Aah! but in that article I did spot:

"Alex Wurz’s decision to stay on as third driver is more surprising as it was thought that the Austrian wanted to return to racing next season.

Wurz may have been swayed by a hint from Dennis that, if permitted, McLaren could run a third car at selected races next season."
