Gaming Bring on the Remakes

I still think Haze was underrated. Maybe it was because of the massive hype and by the time I got to play it people had shat all over it leaving my expectations low. I don't really care for fps on the console but I played through Turok 2, haze and Killzone 2 in that order one after another (all rented). Turok 2 was a huge big steaming pile of turd and completing it was such a chore. By comparison Haze was enjoyable and felt much better. While playing it I wondering why it had received such bad press, was it just because expectations where so high? Its not a great game but its pretty good. Killzone 2 was the best of the 3 even if it was blink and its over short.
Oh and I don't really have a problem with remakes in the slightest, if they are done right. I would like to see a G-police remake/reboot. So much potential there with an open city, on foot and vehicle based missions and such like. Make it, go on, i'll wait here.

 

I'd love a new Evil Genius, really enjoyed the game and I think with a well made sequel we could have a seriously awesome game.

 

I'd love to see Syndicate remade - how awesome would that be?!

An X-wing game would be nice, I can't even install x-wing alliance anymore

 

Is that sarcasm or have you not heard of the strong rumours of EA remaking it?

I'm tired of the FPS genre. It's become stale due to development on 5 year old consoles. We keep seeing same old same old with a different story. We need next gen graphics/gameplay which will only be accomplished through developing exclusives for todays PC gaming hardware.

Lately I've been looking for sleepers (games that don't get a lot of hype). I've also been craving games from the 80s, 90s reinvented for todays PCs. So sure I'd love remakes of games from 6+ years past even moreso pre 2000.

Evil Genius seriously needs a more properly planned sequel/reboot - not everyone is capable of micromanagement of epic levels!

Mechwarrior 2 remake would be awesome. I cracked out on that for hours. I hope the new Mechwarrior lives up to the originals.

I don't quite understand why old titles are rehashed. I am not drawn to existing franchises that I love, I am drawn to concepts. I like open world stuff, if it's open world I give it a look. I am not attached to old series though. Maybe I'm not the only one? Does anyone else just get excited about the ideas and substance of games rather than the names.

 

Yes, but this generation of gaming has turned to **** and I'd rather just play remakes. ex FF13....I'd rather play a FF7 remake.

 

Why have entire gametypes that were immensely popular disappeared?

An Elite remake would rock my world! Keep the gameplay, but update the graphics.
