Yup, for once the cries of "Orwellian" aren't grating on my nerves in their inaccuracy.

The notion that having children is an inalienable right, is fast becoming extinct. Potential parents that have consistently demonstrated a complete lack of stability, responsibility and adherence to living in a respectful manner in their community, should not be allowed to have children.

The benefits system should support responsible parents, giving them greater educational and financial assistance. Few taxpayers would mind if their hard-earned taxes went to support families that really cared about their children's future, instead of many that see having kids, as a means of jumping the housing queue.

It truly sickens me that entire sways of young people's futures are being badly damaged, due to feckless parents and our government's middle class, sixth form revolutionary inspired policies.

Well I think one important thing to remember in this is the fact that it is being executed with families with anti-social problems.
These are most likely the same familys where social services are involved.

Instability, pro-criminal attitudes from parents will greatly increase the chance of breeding further criminals = This is fact.
I work in Probation and I have seen parents come in and when you read their case files and see their children are also being monitored, acting strangely, stealing bikes and then a few years down the line; seeing their kids come through our door you realise it does have a great influence.
They are always the hardest to work with because their beliefs have been entrenched by their parents criminogenic beliefs "My dad did it, I dont see the problem with it!" " my mum says its ok to steal stuff we dont have" etc...and it goes like that - They struggle the most because in our cognitive thinking classes we try to break down why they do such things and we learn its because they were raised with negative actions/attitudes as the norm.

So this is no surprise - The real answer would have been a complete overhaul of the system in every aspect; Starting with the real meaning of punishment and justice because currently its become a complete farce.

If anything is a problem, it's that modern parents don't seem to do too well at looking after their kids. I have seen so many parent sad to say let their kids run wild, and don't know how to control them in anyway. There's no boundaries. Cameras are not the solution. Education is.

and there is the problem who determines what anti-social after how often do you hear of the police or the goverment giving out asbos for what seems like an insane reason but they have an asbo they must be anti-social right, I hope to god that this entire thread is some sort of wind up.

Considering the british goverments track record on who they should invovle themselves with and who they shouldn't that doesn't make me feel much better.

I'm afraid for once i can't get worked up about this. This is directed at the properly dysfunctional families the type you see running round the sink estates shitting in peoples gardens and setting fire to peoples cars for no reason, frankly there are some days i'd just have these people put down.

Does anyone else think when they pass a bunch of chavs on the street that a eugenics program wouldn't be that immoral after all?
