I'm want to take a cheap case just to try my little experiment. Here's what I want to do. Cut out a blow hole on the case. Mount two 80mm fans, one going clockwise, one counter-clockwise about 10cm behind the fan, I want to put a bottle of liquid nitro to chill the air. How's that for a project? Any comments are welcome, including telling me I'm a total nut case or idiot
Welcome to the forums m8 A bottle of liquid N2 will not stay a bottle of liquid N2 for long !!!! It'll warm up and (unless its an open to the air bottle) will likely explode out of the container as it expands so I'd recommend something a little more permanent - liquid H2O is probably best as it doesnt take as much as N2 to cool it down and is cheaper/safer. N2 is more for the one off hardcore cooling options and very far from stabilising a regular system.
You can have my N2 project, without the monitor and cables. On second thaught, maybe not, It'll be a one of a kind deal, I might want to put it in a computer museum (if there isn't one, I'll start ine, there has to be a place for those freak shows after thier owners die)
Compaq 5900z case for my AMD 800mhz slot A. They changed the style about 3 months ago, so it's not made anymore (the case).
darn, I was hoping you actually had a Black Dragon case from chieftec. I have one and your name = my computer name on the network... -c
What if you machined a radiator'ish deal made of really thick cobber, filled with N2(l), sealed it up good, and then made some kind of ducting deal all the air that got sucked into the case went through the thing.
