Ok got a new computer and wasn’t booting so tried testing the ram and graphics card in my main computer, all well and good both worked fine and found out it was the motherboard...... so i put my current graphics card back in (4600) my main computer and it screwed up in that there are funny yellow lines down the screen, the drivers wont load properly (so it just showing up as default card) either. im guessing the card is totally screwed so i need suggestions for another similar card but of this generation of cards. i found my 4600 sufficient as don’t really play too many games, plus im a poor uni student so the cheaper the better......

well the ti4800 was the top of the range GF4 card.. so yeah it's an old generation card.

why not just go buy a budget current gen card?

the 5700ultra is about 150bux or so these days and it gives you stellar performance, also the 5900xt's are fairly good too and aslo gr8 overclockers...

I have my pixelview 5900xt golden limited overclocked to 5950speeds and no problems at all..

Or a 9800pro can be had for about 180bux these days..

well i think its time to change. me (a long time nVidia fan) has realized that in low-mid ranged cards, nvidia screwed up. the 9600xt & 9800 pro kill the equal performer from the fx series in price. thats why i have my first ATi card, the 9600xt  and have found it much more then what i expected
