So I ordered a dual UV cold cathode set from frozencpu and had them sleeved. Now the problem is, one of them has loose wiring at the base of the bulb (it flickers when i twist the connection) and the other one has stopped working altogether. They were never put into active duty, but they just sat in a box for a few months waiting for me to get around to my project.

Since I think I've out done the warranty, how do I get these things apart to get to the wires?

i had this problem, just try securing the wires in place from the outside with use of bluetac(non conductive) and tape.....worked wonders for me.

I would send the frozencpu guys an email and tell them the deal. I think the will exchange the unit for you.
