Just noticed that the fan on my lnno3D tornado GeForce3 Ti200 has seized. l don't know how long it's been like it and the insulation on the supply wires is rather hard and parched. lt's only a little 40mm thing but l've felt the sink and it's very hot.. Any suggestions ??

l managed to sort out the problem at the weekend. l used the original fan base as a mount for a heatsink that l had in my 'box of bits'. l had to cut 2 corners off of the HS but apart from that, everything was quite easy and l don't burn my finger if l touch the HS base anymore.

I've done this a couple of times by super glueing a old socket 7 fan on the heatsink.

l thought about using a fan but the smallest one l have is a 60mm beast. l'm also trying to cut down on noise so it wasn't really a good idea for me. l've also left the blanking plate off of the next PCI slot in an offort to get a little more air to pass over the heatsink.
