Modding Broken harddrive mod?

    Hi
    One of my old old harddrives its dead and I ripped it apart.
    The lid is missing.

    Any one got any ideas what I could do with it?

    on afrotech mods theres an article on how to turn a hard drive into a speaker... sorry can't find link... google for afro tech

    or mount it to the side of your case, and write some program to read and write from it randomly. (yeah, actually connect it) stick in a couple of blue led's, and hey presto!

    yeah but that makes the balance go out-- better idea-- get a flexible bandsaw blade, cut off most of the plain metal part, then epoxy it to the rim of the platter :D
