Ok, the wires on this have never been that great, and when I went to plug it in last night, they both pulled clean out the bottom. I wouldn't normally mind, but it's a sealed unit, and can't get to the insides to fix it. Any ideas? And can a CC inverter be used instead? |H|
I doubt a cc one would work, i would try hacking into it somehow, maybe slice thin layers off, one at a time with razor knife. If still no joy, you can buy 12v inverters for it. Look at the link on the thread about lighted fans, i know they have em, there are other places too.
Mine (exactly the same) has just given up the ghost as well, Im gonna have a closers look but not sure what the course is yet ! I have a spare on here, but its got a different connector on it Will get back to you once I've had a look
ill bet thats just vacuum-formed plastic over 1/2 a tiny project box, id take an exacto to it very carefully, with lots of light and maybe even a magnifying glass, then once you get it open and re-soldered, you can get really big heatshrink at autoparts stores, fix it up good as new ..
its a plastic container, with all sides apart from one. inverters in the bottom and the rest is filled with resin.
