Brown or Green Core XP

    Ive got a brown core XP and my friend has a green core.... both are AMD XP 1700's..... which is better? and is there much of a diff?

    There is a difference.

    One has brown dye put into the packaging, the other has green dye put into the packaging.

    Of course, everyone knows that the bright red ones go faster.

    The organic packcge on XPs were brown up til the launch of the XP 2100+ and then AMD changed to that lovely green color we're all fond of.

    Review samples of the new Thoroughbred are brown but apparantly the retail will be green :eyebrow:

    Hmmm...the browns much nicer, cant see the burn holes when my HS conks out. :lol: :lol:

    /me really needs a new one, 52c idle is just too hot! :eeek:

    Humm.. My 2100+XP is Brown :eyebrow:

    My 1400 T-bird is Blueish Grey :hehe:

    Ah well they changed the color after the launch of the 2100+ then...

    i have seen all this on a different forum i think well the conclusion was that one of them was just released later same clock speed same chip. i mean would you improove something and then not tell anyone?
