When I try to install SP1 I get a bluescreen when windows finishes installing stage 3 and boots up. It appears just as the desktop loads. I am using vista Ultimate with all updates apart from sp1 installed. The spec of my computer isn't an issue. I have all latest drivers installed.

Any help in getting the SP1 installed would be much appreciated

Probably stupid question - are you using the correct file? (As in 32bit or 64bit)

My first suggestion to you would be to firstly remove all unnecessary hardware from your box, and start with one memory chip, see if you can get past that point. Also I would run MemTextx86 memory is one of the major causes of BSOD.
