I have a pipex ADSL connection ... it is served thru BT.

I have the modem connected on one laptop and I usually use the net from my other laptop .. ICS works fine ... just did it using the win xp home networking wizard ... easy and fast.

    Hope it helps.

I'm on BT-ADSL and use a wireless and RJ45 networking set up.
I've been through quite a few different ICS programs (including the winXP one and one that came with the wireless cards) and I found that they're not that goood.

What i use now is Winroute Pro which has been up for about 2 weeks now without any problems at all. It has a lot of excellent features including built in quality firewall and proxy server (even though i don't use any of them). Though all i use it for is its NAT (requires no adjustments on the client's PCs).

If you want it drop me a mail and I'll also hook you up with an excellent tutorial in setting it up.

The only type of "tracking" I've ever heard BT do is when you have to play 'Hide the router' when the engineers come over (thats if they ever need to). But saying that, I've never actually know of BT taking any action if they find out you're sharing a connection (IIRC, someone on the board was helped by a BT engineer to run network cabling through their house).

Seriously though, I really doubt BT partake in any MAC address tracing as I'm nearly on my second year of ADSL connection sharing and I've never heard a peep outta 'em. Plus they're bound to give you a warning before doing anything serious.
