these are soft vinyl tubes that I bought at lowes hardware. comes in a 10 foot length.

the tubes began to cloud after 8 hours of exposure to tap water.

things went completely wrong when I cut my case entirely wrong. The top of the cut is wider than the tube itself. I still haven't found a replacement bezel for a lian-li pc-70

Sheesh, that does suck, I think if you contact Lian Li, you can get a new one (for a price). Any way you can get the cuts to work?

 What if you tidy the cuts up so that the edges are straight and then bond in a coupla long strips of plexi (maybe tinted) in front of the hose.
No-one will ever know you didn't plan it that way.... except for this thread!

Very creative use of EL tape, shame to scrap the idea.

    the hose

the problem with the hose is that it clouded. It turned whitish after a few hours of use. Nothing I tried could clear them up either.
I need to find a new material. I think I should build a box from plexi or lexan.

Maybe you could sue better quality tubing like that clearflex stuff a lot of modding stores sell.

you should not use tap water, try distilled de iroronised water, should keep the tube clear

troyka, you're probably right, the water in FL is full of limestone and other hard minerals.

That would probably do it just fine.

What did you use for the bubbles? Is it anything that can run on Molex power?

I like the idea of DIY bubble tubes on a case, but that cut really is a disaster if the case is still like that??

I like Pugs suggestion of the plexi to try to cover it over... :thumb:

Ok, yeah... I should have seen that one coming...

Where did you get the pump for the air? Fish tank? Did you use one or 2 pumps? If you used one pump, did it split evenly?

if you build a box section in the front part out of plexi you should be able to forget using tubes completly. would look a lot better then a tube aswell.
