Just an idea but how about retro games benchmark suite for bottom of the range card reviews on Bit-tech? I've been looking at budget cards recently and everyone insists testing a 7300LE and an X1300 against the likes of Oblivion. I can understand using one good game like Oblivion just to show how these low budget cards compare to their bigger siblings but when their performance in the latest games is a no brainer - they just won't cut the mustard. How about a test suite of popular but less taxing games to see if they can manage the old favourites? These games are more in line with what the cards are intended for - a little fun now and again. How about it Bit-tech? I mean the 6200TC and X1300 reviews on Bit are a case in point. Anyone else think this a good idea?
I like your idea... How about popular multiplayer games like CS: Source, UT2004, Quake 4, DoD: Source, Call Of Duty 2, Battlefield 2?
Superb. I also wonder about including one challenging kids game as budget gfx cards are usually bought for a cheap second computer for younger kids to play things like Wallace and Gromit, Harry Potter or Toy Story type games.
