I would have to say the Aquarious. It pumps more water(not always a good thing)but it comes with a resivour, as with the other one you would have to buy it separatly.

Also, i would recomend getting a graphics card waterblock, if you have a system, might as well cool more than 1 thing.

i'd tend to agree with darv, havent used the tt aquarius to be fair, but although not a fantastic kit the asetek isnt too bad and at the price i reckon its the better buy!

or of course, if you're feeling a bit more ingenius you could probably keep an eye out on the forum trading posts and build a custom design watercooling rig that will (probably) cool a bit better and (if you're lucky) wont cost too much if anything more!! Depends how confident you're feeling - i'd build my own from scratch (and did!), cools my xp3200 to 36/37 idle and 40 full load.

Yup building your own kit out of your specified parts is the best way to do it but it's not something you can do on a whimsy. You need to read a lot about the subject. (Hose sizes and thread sizes still confuse me :duh: ) Then you need to carefully think about what components you want.

The Asetek kit will get you started and comes with everything you need. Then after that you can start delving into more custom parts.

Iv made my own watercooling kit parts arriving soon and it cost me 250nzd

so about 125 usd :p plus things are cheaper in the us and britain so really its not that expensive to design you own kit

The asetek without question. It comes from a brand with good cooling components and includes good parts. By entry level they must just mean 1 block because it's actually a decent setup.

I have an aquarius... it's mediocre at best. It can easily be beaten by a good air heatsink.

I have used both and there is no comparision. The TT kit is a very basic cooling loop that may be handy is some applications but will not perform anything liek waterchill. Additionally Waterchill is compatible with other systems using similar fittings and can be expanded, modified and upgraded as required.

I'm amazed at the price of that kit these days, it's definitely a great entry point.

urm, im quite interested in that waterchill kit, but how on earth do you fill it, or let air out, without a res?, the ones they supply with their full kits look pretty basic, i cant believe they aint included it..

so.. filling, on that waterchill kit, how?

standard water cooling and water chilling is very diferent
to fill and bleed them you can use a T in the hosing and cap it off with a long peice of hose and a plug

I've had the KT12 kit for a while now, and I've been very satisfied with it except for one thing - the pump makes a lot of noise. It's something of a buzzing which is needless to say very irritating particularly seeing as water is supposed to be quiet. I guess it's probably air trapped in the system, but running it for ages doesn't seem to help and the entire system has been flushed 3 or 4 times now. Is the hydor L20 just a cheap pump and I should get a new one, or am I doing something wrong?

You're probably doing something wrong, as I've had the L20 pump and it's hardly noticeable in use.
Are you sure it's not making contact with the case directly and causing the whole thing to vibrate and cause a hum? Other than that is to check the water, if it's nice and clear, then you don't have a problem with air. If it's like a frothy white, then you have air in the system, might be able to fix that by turning off everything for a few hours and let it settle.

If all that fails, then you might have something that isn't sealed properly and that's letting some air in that is causing a noise @.@

The water looks fine - no froth at all. The buzzing is definitely not coming from case vibration either as I tried lifting the pump away from the case and the noise didn't change. It sounds like air could be trapped in the pump, but I've no idea how to get it out.

What on earth is spme watter wetter? Some sort of chemical to reduce surface tension perhaps?
