what do you guys think of this build? im building a cheap rig for the inlaws, they are just starting to get into using a PC and their old dell has given up the ghost. They dont want to spend more then £250.

I havent included HDD, keyboard & mouse or monitor. Reason being the HDD prices are too dear ill just pick one up from the marketplace. They have a 17" monitor which will be more then enough same with the keyboard & mouse.

I've got an i3 2105 in the same case with the 600W version of that power supply.

Runs great. 2015 is the same clock speed I think just with the HD3000 graphics instead of HD2000.

I've got a SSD in mine, and tbh I've switched from using my i7 920 @ 4GHz to that as my main system since it's so quiet and with the SSD it's lightning fast at anything I do day to day. (and the i7 rig has a 146GB 15,500RPM drive in it, so it's not like I was on anything slow to begin with)

Stick an Agility 3 90GB SSD in there and you're golden. Hell the 120GB's have been going for £110 ish on HotUkDeals.

I think you guys are forgetting who this is for. Adding a discrete graphics card and SSD would increase the cost by at least £100, given the likely usage and strict budget it's unjustifiable. I'm sure the build as is will be to their old machine as a Lambo is to a golf cart.

    Build looks fine.

For gaming perhaps but for everything else it is perfectly adequete and more importantly in a build costing so little, free.

thanks for the comments guys really appriciate it. The reason i didnt put in a GPU is they dont game, their kids only play basic online games so onboard should be fine. Also SSD will be overkill they will not notice difference as the rig that they have been using is the slowest of the slow so i think a normal 1tb HDD 7200rpm will be like a rocketship

Also I have a new windows 7 OS at home so i will be using that
