As part of my current cooling project, I plan on submerging an eheim 1250 into a reservoir about 300x200x300 (LxWxH) millimetres. I have a nice amount of 3mm perspex, which feels nice and rigid enough for what I have planned. The reservoir will be completely sealed, bar entree/exit holes and a fill-hole which will be sealed with a plug of some sort.

Saying this, I have actually very little clue as how I should go about building it.
I'm going to measure out and cut everything tomorrow, that's the easy bit. Then I plan to go to B&Q to get some nice woodstain for a door. So anything I might need to build the reservoir will be bought then (if anyone could point something out for me please).

    So erm.. help, please! :wallbash:

Get a 90° inside angle (the inside of an L)
Sand the contact areas, and glue them with some ABS epoxy
Clamp them in place on the L
    Repeat

If you have enough material left over, make a hollow brace for the container.

Use silicon sealant on the inside for leak proofing

Thanks chap, think I'm on the right track now.. Would it be worth routing a 1mm groove in which to slide the piece in to create a larger surface area? Or am I just getting a little carried away?

A 1mm groove will make little or no difference. You might try thicker material, or even putting an extra sheet on the bottom.
