Allright, I kinda got this idea from Macroman's article CF LCD Mod.

I have a challenge for all of you modders out there. I have an old LCD which is 2 lines, and about 12 spaces per/line. Your job is to tell me how to get it to monitor my computer!!! I have very little/no experience with circuitboard or electronics. I'd like to have it using the same base as Macroman's did in his article. Having it on the desk, using an microphone stand to hold it up.
It has 4 different buttons as you can see on the picture below. They were originally used to type in different scrolling messages.
I'd like to use those 4 buttons to switch between a CPU and Graphics Card thermometer and Used/Available RAM. And if possible, have the third button used to switch to a C:\ Harddrive monitor that tells me disk space left and space used. And the 4th button to switch the display on and off.
If anyone could figure out how to do this and tell me in simple terms, well, I'd consider you a genuine genius.:naughty:

Heres the picture of parts! (items in green are the 4 buttons and pointing to where they go.)

BTW: I'd like to be able to use either my PC or an AC/DC plug.[IMG]
