well i haven't got any photos yet, but i was sitting rather happy and then lots and lots of smoke appeared from just below my legs. I look at my precious pc and see my fans pushing black smoke from the inside of my PC, i literally couldn't see anything inside it. So i whack the case panel off and i can't see a thing!!! so much smoke!!! the smell was horrible, i have nice burn on my hand from turning the power off.

So looking at the damage, i have a clump of melted wires, a potential burned motherboard ( not sure yet because it might just be smoke damage??). So i have stripped everything down to find the problem as well as check everything.

One single wire caused this, one single wire! and it was the power on button. I had to air out my room, it was so bad. I am not having a good week with my computer. :waah:

Ouch, I had a computer come in to the repair shop where i used to work that got hit by lightning through the phone line, most of the modem was black as well as the motherboard around the modem. :waah:

Yeah i just had a circuit board for my VFD go up inflames a couple of nights ago. Had to keep my window open all night, even though it was snowing out :sigh:. It was cold, smelt horrible, and one of my cold cathodes died the same night. :miffed: But thats what you get for being a modder, and especially when its your first time ever soldering.
