    Hello,

So using my bloody P5K motherboard, trying to OC my q6600 (G0), getting in to bios, changing bus speed, changing multiplayer, saving and stuff. And nothing happens. I am green to OC, took a look at some reviews, youtube videos but it just won't work for me. Even if setting are saved,CPU-Z show old core speed, 2.4 GHz :waah:

What are you doing exactly? And what is your PC setup?

Trying to OC my CPU up to 3 or 3.2GHz, PC setup is Asus P5K, q6600, 9800GTX+, 4GB of ram A-Data. WC on CPU tho.

EDIT: Maybe my mobo is about to die, I think 90 minutes of trying to boot PC is one of these bad signs :(

Where does it sit for 90 minutes?
Is your HDD OK - is it about to die?
Is your Windows installation working correctly?
Is your CPU overheating? Is the heatsink fitted correctly? What heatsink are you using?
Did you ever update the BIOS? The P5K should have an in-BIOS update utility.

    HDDs are OK,
    Windows are OK.
    CPU temp. ~45' (custom WC)

I knew there's term, but i can not recall it (edit - POST). It fail once you boot system after few hours of not using it. It fail at self check of bios, well at least that's what I know browsing other forums. Fans are spinning, lights are bright but I have to restart my computer untill my keyboard light flash up and then I know my PC gonna boot up. Then Bios starts and so on.

    EDIT: Power-On Self-Test that is.
