Modding Buttons/switches to activate a software program?

just wanted to add:

the comctrl can open programs aswell.. it have a open program comand.. just choose the EXE file...

made myself a 15 button panel aswell today...

i am looking into girder myself.. seems to be hard to learn.. but i have found ont some basic things... right now i want to be able to use a IR remote, but i just't cant figure out how to build one...
