Does anyone know a good motherboard that would support the following: Intel Core 2 Duo processor, DDR2 ram, preferably sli because I might buy another video card soon
I would preferably buy from a respected seller e.g ebuyer.
    Many thanks,
    Keller

You'll have to wait til the end of this month until nForce 590 SLI intel edn boards are out for conroe. Or, you may be able to find an nForce 4 x16 board intel edition that supports conroe (however some/most will probably require a BIOS flash so you'll need a standard P4 to do that before installing the Conroe).

I chose the Asus P5N32-SLi SE Deluxe for the E6600 from scan.co.uk, the Asus website says it has supported Conroe since it's release (Hope so :eyebrow:)

Not to intrude on the topic starters thread, but is there any SLI Intel Conroe motherboards that have 4x IDE support for 2 IDE hdd's and 2 IDE drives? If not, I think I will go AMD possibly. Im not sure what kind of motherboard or CPU I'd want to get that will last. Any ideas/help?

There is one Nforce 4 16x board which does, but I cant remember which. Search for a similar thread as this it's been anwered before.

Also, the 590SLI intel has been pushed back again but 570SLI will be released next week, perhaps, maybe.. if NV dont decide to push it again.

You can easily find yourself IDE->SATA adapters, so there's no need to abandon C2D for that reason. :)

Alright! Thanks guys, I know its dumb to not get a Conroe CPU motherboard that doesnt have 4x IDE, I just didnt want to deal with converters, and Im so glad it has dual 16x speed PCI express. How is this motherboard performance wise and any problems?
