im looking for a graphics card for my system and i think im going with a 6600GT the motherboard im buying an asus a8v deluxe ver.2 wifi, and as you know uses agp... im looking to spend up to £145 for a good 6600Gt as theres loads to choose from could anyone give me ideas into what to get could you post links to reveiws and where to buy them from... thanks
Just built a system for a friend using the XFX 6600GT... Excellent performer, but a noisy fan which cannot be replaced easily (without modifying an Arctic Silencer 6800). If your not concerned with noise, buy it. If you have quite components then look elsewhere. Apparently most if not all 6600GT fans are like this, due to the pcb size. I can verify that the Leadtek is also noisy...
What about the Albatron or Apollo models? I don't know too much about either company, but how do they stack up against other 6600GT's? On another note, does anybody know the memory timings on the cards? I hear they're 2.0 ns, but I also hear they're 1.6 ns.
