This is my first time ordering from scan so I need some help, basically, my account has been debited the cost of my order but there is no information about the order in my order history or outstanding orders, can anyone tell me, is there a problem or is the Scan system a bit slow to register orders

This is made even more complicated by the fact I made a mistake in ordering so I did a second order and creating an invoice query telling them to cancel the first order...

    Help needed Urgently :/

You will normally get full purchase order updates via e-mail at each stage.. card authorisation, packing, shipping etc.

If in doubt.. call them. 0871-472-4747

Scan are pretty slow in updating your order on their site, but they usually e-mail you as soon your order status changes.

It might be worth sending them another e-mail or giving them a ring to find out.

Their customer support, I found, was outstanding. As the others have stated, they are slow in updating their site but are instant in e-mailing/texting you with delivery alerts.

Well as it's Sunday that also means they won't even be processing any orders until tomorrow, so just ring them first thing in the morning.

If you order over a weekend it wont be processed until monday morning. You should get an email tomorrow morning about 08:30 letting you know srtatus of your order.

My experience with Scan was great from a customer service point of view. Give them a call and they should be able to sort it out. Nothing will happen today anyway; it's Sunday.

If you order on Sunday, it doesnt get processed until the Monday. I could be mistaken but I think it mentions that somewhere through the ordering.

Always experienced excellent customer service from SCAN - The text messages with the City Link updates are an especially nice touch. If you've not seen anything by lunchtime tomorrow, maybe give them a call.

Just bought HDD from them, amazing service really like buying from scan, especially as someone already mentioned status of the order is sent to me by txt and email, don't know if any other websites do that. I know ebuyer uses city link, but u won't get anything like that from them

Yeah it's happened to me before, if you make an order on a weekend it won't appear on your order history till monday, for example: I ordered a headset from them on a weekend and it never appeared till monday and yet I ordered a PSU plus some other bits from them at 8 30am today and it appeared instantly on my order history, they state that on their website.

Wow, the scan customer services are AMAZING, it took me less than 5 minutes to cancel the duplicate order and add the item I missed onto the first one, now everything is sorted... will definitely be sticking with Scan, does anyone know if ebuyer are any good?

Ebuyer had a carp stage a about 4 years ago and I switched to Scan.
For some reason the kept messing up my orders.
THe one that put me of was a Fan showing 1200 in stock, they held back the order for 5 days, then canceled the order, apparemtly they lost the entire shipment ><
Never contacted me once during that period and none of my questions got answered.

I still use ebuyer from time to time.
    Prices are good.
but as I get free next day delivery with scan I tend to use them, partly out of loyalty, partly because I resent paying for something I can get for free.

Dunno about that but sign up on hexus and do 20 posts and you get free delivery on orders over £20 exc VAT, or avforums and get it for ordered over £75 exc VAT.

No, the Scan forums are no longer active on bit-tech and they ended the free delivery partnership. The only ones that do it are AVForums and Hexus AFAIK.

That's why I tend to use novatech and ebuyer over Scan more often than not, unless they don't have what I want. Scan's delivery prices are often extortionate, I think they quoted me £7 for a £3 cable once, I'm sure that must lose them a lot of sales.

Scans awesome! Ordered my whole PC worth of components off them and got the whole lot the next day exactly before 1pm. Their packaging is nice and padded too.

Ive bought loads of stuff from scan, but only had anything delivered once as Its usually easier to just drive over there, and cheaper.
The one time I did order anything for delivery, I ordered a graphics card with next day delivery, it was in stock, and then it sat in shipping for 2 days, so 4 days after I'd ordered it arrived, and the heatsink wasnt even attatched anymore :(

Got a lift over there to take it back, they originally refused to refund the postage costs, I then pointed out I paid for next day delivery, not 4 days later delivery, and it wasnt my problem that they hadnt sent it out.

Other than that, everything else Ive bought Ive collected, adn its always been perfect. So quite happy shopping there tbh.
