Build Advice Buying new gaming rig today :-) Advice anyone?

    i see..cause im building a rig soon probably the week after.

    Been pondering for a hella long time either to go for Asus or MSI.

    then also the model V or the V-Pro...

    But i see the V-Pro has more USB port...or does the V have more then neccessary

    You are confusing PSU and CPU.

    The CPU must have the K after the model number to overclock - you can overclock using any PSU that has the power to spare and is reliable enough.

    The PSU you linked is a decent on - TBH anything by Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, BeQuiet at the moment is decent bar the very cheap models.

    Also what PSU do you have now because like I said if it is a cheap generic one you run a high risk of it going bang when put it under load and that will take half you system with it costing you £100s. Cheap PSUs are very much a false economy.

    I don't have a PSU, havn't had a gaming rigg for years mate

    Also how do I get the free delivery from scan do I need to contact them before my order?

    are the amount of ports on the V sufficient alpha?

    Calm down and give me a second.

    Only you can anwer that question as only you know how many you need.

    It has 4 USB 3 ports (these work with USB 2 devices) and 2 USB 2 ports. So the question is are 6 USB ports enough. And then there are the USB ports on the case that you can plug into the board.
